16 Prayers for Your Husband – Karen Friday

April 20, 2020

There’s power in prayer and we move mountains in the spiritual world with the truth of God’s Word.

So when you place your husband’s name in a Bible verse, it becomes a powerful prayer with the ability to change his life and ultimately your marriage.

It also changes your heart and your perspective.

I like to pray these out loud so the enemy of our souls hears me loud and clear.

  1. Salvation/John 3:16, For God so loved ________, that he gave his only Son, that if ________ believes in him, he will not perish but have eternal life
  2. Fear/2 Timothy 1:7, For God has not given ________ a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind.
  3. Forgiveness/Ephesians 4:32, ________ will be kind to others, tenderhearted, forgiving others (and me) as God in Christ forgave him.

  6. Healing physically, spiritually, emotionally/Malachi 4:2, But for ________ who reveres my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. ________ shall go out leaping like a calf from the stall.

  10. Satisfaction/Psalm 90:14, Satisfy ________ in the morning with your steadfast love, that he may rejoice and be glad all his days.
  11. Peace/Isaiah 26:3, You keep ________ in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

  13. Christian walk/Micah 6:8, He has shown ________ what is good. And what does the Lord require of him? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with his God.
  14. Wisdom/Proverbs 2:6, For the Lord gives ________ wisdom; from the Lord’s mouth come knowledge and understanding.
  15. Sin or away from the Lord/Acts 3:19, Repent, ________, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
  16. Sexual temptation and lust/Proverbs 5:18-19, ________, May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in me, the wife of your youth. Let me be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let my breasts satisfy _________ at all times; and let him be ravished always with my love.

16 Prayers For Your Husband

My list is not exhaustive, but gives you a great place to begin praying.

Wife Step: Print these prayers, and each week choose one of these Bible verses or one of your own where you know there’s a specific need in your husband’s life, and insert his name. Write it on a notecard, sticky note, in a journal, or type out and save where you will see it to serve as a reminder to pray.
