7 Sentence Starters to Help You Praise Your Man
My husband recently experienced disappointment. He had been praying to God seeking an answer to a problem he was struggling with and soon after, a solution presented itself.
He became excited thinking this might be the answer to his problem, only to be disappointed when God closed the door.
My heart ached for him. I responded to him with love and kindness and went out of my way to affirm him. This simple gesture of praise made all the difference to him.
He later shared how important my words of encouragement were to him. By merely expressing my love and care for him, it built my husband up and helped him bounce back from his disappointment.
His response made me realize that I don’t always do a good job of affirming my husband. It also showed me how important my simple expression of how much I valued and loved him meant to him. I began to brainstorm ways I could affirm my husband in a meaningful way.
Here are 7 sentence starters you can say to affirm your husband, especially if you aren’t feeling like saying them!
- I love you because…
- I respect you for…
- I appreciate you because…
- I’m grateful for your….
- You’re sexy when…

Men desire to be respected and want to know why they are valued. Your husband will live up to what you speak about him.
